Our Classic board uses the same sequential gluing technique described on the Diamonds page but includes Sugar Pine blocks in the center area for a compelling contrast between dark and light. This board is about 20% lighter than a comparably sized Maple board.

Ken Goodwin: "I wanted this board to look like a picture inside a frame. The end grain of the Sugar Pine has a lot of character. After it goes into our oil bath, it turns a wonderful caramel color that is set off by the deep browns in the Willow."
